Lets remember guys that this is supposedly the old timers (aka adult) forum. We're supposed to be be adult about things and not be into personal attacks/petty type stuff.

I agree but if I get called out and called a hypocrite and made fun of I'm not just going to sit here and play mum. We all have faults, I know I do. If Greencrest and Don would mind their own business I'd never open my mouth about them. If they do so, so will I.

How am I a moron? Because I get mad when someone whines and uses the quote "I'm a Democrat because I cant afford to be a Republican" but yet they gamble their money away and can sit there and whine for the government to do something for them.

I'm not at all impressed with his gambling winings. He gambles with poker, I gamble with the stock market, you decide which is smarter and more secure. Im 20 years old and work a part-time job, if I needed money I wouldn't be in school working an $8 an hour job. I can live with my parents and I have the advantage of being able to invest all of my money that I want. Im not wasting it doing something stupid and bragging about it to beat all, and then turning around and wanting the government to pay for my school. I'm tight as bark on a tree with my money because I actually work for it. I just take offense to people saying one thing and then doing another.

seems to me like he doesnt gamble it away there genuis, looks like he wins more than he loses.

the stock market is about as secure as poker.

it gets on my nerves when people who are well off just totally disregard the lower class, and thats exactly what you are doing.

Lets make it clear, I dont anything about PVFAN other than what he says on here. But when somebody says in a political argument that they cannot be a republican because they cant afford to, and they describe their occupation as being a gambler, then I have no sympathy for them and I will call them out on it.

So, a poor guy with only five dollars gambles as his only hope of ever getting outta the gutter, and he states that he can't afford to be a republican, is that wrong?

What do you suggest you do with that five dollars? Save it? Why, he has no job, no food, no money, etc..., so why not take a risk and try to better your life?

5 dollars wont get you [censored] in the stock market, but in the REAL WORLD, which I am not sure you are from, five dollars at a blackjack table or a lottery ticket may turn into 100, or 1000, or even more.

How am I saying one thing and doing another? Read, can you do that? Look at the poverty levels of SWVA, your telling me the students in SWVA do not need more financial aid? Your in college you have sense, you have to be able to see that. If you take me posting it on here as bragging I'm sorry, to me poker is similar to a sport. I got into because it's competitive, it whoops your [censored] and teaches you strong life lessons. Biggest problem with it to you is that it doesn't fit your moral code. I dont see why you should tell me how to spend my money, just doesn't make sense. It's America a lot worse things are going on than gambling and if you'd get out of mommy and daddy's house you might see that one day. I'm not the hypocrit either my friend, I've always tried to talk to you about sports/politics and even if we didn't agree I didn't ridicule you or somehow try to put you down. Poker and Stock Market is the same thing basically, only difference is if I hold pocket queens and the flop comes an Ace, a King, and a J and some guy in LA bets 200 dollars to me, I can control my money by folding and not drawing for the gut shot straight. You put your money into the hands of someone else, both gambling, both requiring skill. I'll live my way you live yours, and I'll stay out of your business/views and you stay out of mine.
